Rocking Star Yash is gearing up for the release of his upcoming gangster action thriller ‘Toxic’. While promoting his film in Chennai, he spoke about the actor-turned-politician and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, praising his dedication to work and commitment to the people of the state.
Yash praises Vijay’s dedication
The event was held at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Monday. Yash said that he and others in the film industry have admired Vijay for a long time. He talked about the love he has received from the people who positioned him in such a responsible position.“I’ve always said that we’ve really learnt a lot from him. We’ve admired him, his commitment and the love he has earned from people. It’s evident now. People have given him that position and responsibility. We’re very happy that it’s set a new trend. People have such faith in him, and I can see that he’s so disciplined and dedicated,” he said.
Yash talks about Vijay’s work for the people
During his speech, Yash also mentioned ‘Jana Nayagan’ producer Venkat Narayana, who has worked with him on ‘Toxic’. The ‘KGF’ star shared that the producer has often spoken about Vijay’s passion and the amount of time he spends working for the people of Tamil Nadu.Yash said actors also have a responsibility toward the people who give them love. He feels Vijay has now reached a stage where he is giving that love back to the people of Tamil Nadu.“Venkat sir keeps mentioning how he’s so passionate and keeps working from morning till night for the people of Tamil Nadu. We’re very lucky. The love that the audience gives, we [as actors] are responsible for giving it back,” he added.
Yash wishes Vijay good luck
Yash also praised the people of Tamil Nadu for placing their trust in Vijay. “We all wish him good luck. It’s a very progressive thing,” he said.
About ‘Toxic’
Speaking of ‘Toxic’, directed by Geethu Mohandas, the film is a gangster action thriller which features Yash in a dual role. He is seen playing a father and son who have a complicated and conflicted relationship, which basically establishes the premise of the film in the world of crime set in 1950s-70s Goa.The film has a strong female cast featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth in the lead.It is set to release worldwide on August 26, 2026.
